What we do

The benefits
of fostering

As a not-for-profit fostering agency, our focus is on ensuring that you are well looked after and have everything you need to support the children and young people in your care. Here are just some of the things that you can expect when fostering with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust (NCT):

  • Full support from other professionals, welcoming you as a key member of ‘the team around the child’
  • 24/7 social work support, 365 days of the year
  • Extensive training, including online, VR and face-to-face
  • Discussions with one of our social workers about the age ranges that best suit you
  • Access to 30 hours of term-time funded childcare
  • Well-established and supportive local carer support, including membership to the Northamptonshire Foster Carer Association (NFCA)
  • Financial support, with additional payments to cover a child’s holiday, birthday and religious celebrations
  • Payment in line with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) (payment of up to £42,000 p/a for resilience foster carers)
